BECU's app, powered by MX, received recognition from both the Financial Brand and MagnifyMoney in December. BECU appeared as the most improved app in MagnifyMoney's third annual Mobile Banking App Study, which compiles the iOS and Android banking app ratings from over 100 of the biggest credit unions and banks.
Jeffry Pilcher, CEO/President & Publisher of the Financial Brand, featured BECU in his piece on "19 Awesome Mobile Banking Apps from Banks and Credit Unions." Pilcher observes that a great mobile banking app has an intuitive interface, is visually appealing, displays comprehensive transaction details, allows users to effortlessly make mobile deposits and provides personal financial management tools, the means to "aggregate and manage money with goals, spending alerts, spending categories and visual tools."
Continuous Improvements: More BECU Members Aggregating Accounts
MX's Helios solution provides BECU members with a superior mobile banking experience, one pairing money management and money movement features, including mobile deposit, bill pay and transfers. Unlike other solution providers, MX never sees its job as being done. Listening to your users and acting on their recommendations can only improve the experience. Through the Helios framework MX is able to iterate quickly across all platforms, constantly improving the feature set and usability. One recent example is the First Time User Experience, released on December 6, which has prompted far more BECU members to aggregate external accounts.
In December this change prompted 16.1 percent more BECU members to add external accounts and the overall number of external accounts increased by 10.3 percent. Apps not only need to be feature-rich but make features visible to users. MX continues to enhance the member experience for institutions like BECU.
